Chandrababu at CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam: People will vote for development
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday addressed the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam where he felicitated spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
Speaking on the third day of the Summit, Chandrababu said that people will vote for those political leaders, who will meet their expectations.
In an indirect jibe at the BJP, he said that some politicians are thinking that the public will listen to them even if they don’t take any developmental works adding that the people will only vote for development.
He opened up on the last day to vent out his feelings on the key issue of the non-fulfilment of commitments made to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre which is resulting in the straining of ties and causing unrest among people.
Recalling the injustice done to Andhra Pradesh while dividing it to carve out Telangana state in 2014, Chandrababu said he was working hard to develop the state as an innovation valley and using technology to solve people's problems.
Having been demanding the Centre to fulfil all commitments made in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014, he stated that the state is seeking liberal financial assistance and handholding by the Centre.
During the first two days of the Summit, Chandrababu focussed on signing a Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) to attract investment to the state.
The Chief Minister stated that knowledge is required to tap the abundance of opportunities available in the world.
