All set for IPE exams from today

Guntur: The district administration is all set to conduct the Intermediate Public Examinations here from Wednesday. As many as 50,494 first year students and 49,911 second year students will appear at 134 centres in the district. They will be allowed from 8.30 am on wards into the examination centres and after 9 amcandidates will not be allowed into halls under any circumstances. 

The examination will be held from 9 am to 12 pm. For the first time, the officials are conducting the examinations under the surveillance of the CCTV cameras to check malpractices. The Intermediate Board has appointed 134 chief superintendents and 134 department officers for conducting the examinations. In addition  to this, four flying squads and five sitting squads were setup. 

A high-power committee was set up under the aegis of District Collector Kona Shasidhar, Guntur Urban Superintendent of Police Ch Vijaya Rao, and Guntur Rural Superintendent of Police Ch Venkata Appala Naidu. Regional Joint Director Parandhamaiah is also a member of  the committee. Section 144 will be enforced near the examination centres and directed the Xerox centres at the examination to close. All the tickets have already been distributed to the students.
