The ensuing biennial election to 3 Rajya Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh is set to create political storm in Andhra Pradesh politics. With the incumbent CM Ramesh, who Completes his term in April, is planning to contest as independent candidate,  the threat of cross voting by its MLAs is looming large in the opposition YSR Congress Party.

Strong speculations are doing rounds the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed his close aide Ramesh to contest as independent in the elections and dent the chances of winning an MP seat by YSR Congress.

As per the MLAs strength in the Assembly,  TDP will win two seats and YSR Congress will secure on MP post unanimously.

TDP already poached 23 YSR Congress MLAs to  weaken the party.  The fresh attempt to encourage cross voting  in YSR Congress is part of Chandrababu's strategy to lower the confidence levels of the party leadership ahead of 2019 elections.

Reports said Ramesh is also well prepared to offer huge sums of money to the YSR Congress legislators who indulged in cross voting in the biennial elections.
