Will improve basic amenities in burial grounds: Mayor Aziz

Nellore: Mayor Sk Abdul Aziz said that the Nellore Municipal Corporation will develop basic amenities in burial grounds with Rs 5 crore in the city. Aziz along with Municipal Commissioner Alim Basha inspected the works at Muslim burial ground located at 52nd division in Ranganayakulapeta here on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, the Mayor said that the Corporation has taken up the responsibility to develop the burial grounds as holy centres along with basic amenities. He informed that they had taken up construction works of burial grounds in 5 acres for Christian population in Allipuram area and also works at burial grounds and crematoriums in Bodigadithota and Vengalrao Nagar.

He also explained that the Corporation will take up construction of toilets, rooms and greenery in Ranganayakulapeta burial ground with Rs 30 lakh. Aziz has stated that they would construct compound walls, fix street lights, maintain sanitation and provide other basic amenities in burial grounds. Corporators Prasanth Kumar, Raja Naidu, Penchala Naidu and others were present.
