Child Friendly Accountability inaugurated at Rashtriya Seva Samithi
Tirupati: Child Fund India’s new child protection project, Child Friendly Accountability (CFA) inaugurated by the Special Judge Sai Kumari at a function held in Rashtriya Seva Samithi (RASS) here on Wednesday.
RASS will implement the project in Karakambadi and Mamandur schools involving children of 13 to 17 years. The community children would also be involved in the project which will be focussed around building a safe and protective environment for children by strengthening the functionality and accountability of the child protection system.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Sai Kumari briefed about the child right issues and complimented the juvenile home and RASS for protecting and undertaking focused projects around child protection. Inspector of Police, Renigunta railway station K Madhusudhan explained about child rights and run-away kids issue particularly in railway station and bus stands in Tirupati as well as in Renigunta.
Child Fund India’s technical specialist Varsha Mohan has assured to extend maximum cooperation and support from donor agencies to make a model project in child rights. Child Fund India national head Dr Muniaswamy, Govt girls home head Nanda Gopal, RASS general secretary Dr G Munirathnam, Project Manager Jayachandra Naidu, Executive Director of RASS S Venkatarathnam also spoke on the occasion.
