Prominent Hindi teacher felicitated
Anantapur: Noted Hindi teacher Challa Venkata Reddy was felicitated on Wednesday at Hindi Day celebrations held here under the aegis of the Hindi Seva Sadan Mahavidyalay.
Hindi Seva Sadan founder and AP Hindi Prachara Sabha secretary S Gaibuvalli presented Venkata Reddy with a shawl and bouquet. Venkata Reddy received Hindi pundit training in 1964.
He worked as Hindi teacher in various government schools in Chittoor district. He is teaching Hindi free of cost to the mentally challenged inmates of the school for the mentally challenged at Chandragiri.
Venkata Reddy said that he had organised several programmes to develop Hindi language during the past 65 years and thanked the Hindi Seva Sadan for honouring him in recognition of his meritorious services.
Psychology lecturer in Hindi Abdul Munir and AP Hindi Prachara Sabha convener for Rayalaseema B Chakrapani, district convener Haji Karim and others took part in the felicitation programme.
