Tirupati: BJP Narsapuram MP Gokaraju Ganga Raju demanded the State government to produce the accounts for Rs 1.75 lakh crore funds released by the Centre.

Addressing media here on Thursday, the MP said so far the State government did not submit the accounts for any development work funded by the Centre and simply blaming the BJP over the meagre allocation of funds to the state.

He suspected whether the TDP government was spending the funds properly for development works or not. The MP came down heavily on the Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan for setting up of Joint Fact-finding Committee (JFC) with all party leaders demanding white paper from both the Centre and state government over the release of funds.

Stating that JFC has no statutory status, he said there was no need for NDA government to give details on funding to such type of committees.
If they want the Union government funding details, they can down load them from government official website, he added.

He demanded the state government to allocate funds and extend development works to backward Rayalaseema region. “As per our BJP state unit is concerned, we are strongly demanding to set up the High Court in Rayalaseema and announce Tirupati as a second capital of country,” the BJP MP stressed.

He informed that party booth-level cadre will take up campaign explaining the facts to people shortly over the Central funds allocations for development.

BJP state official spokesperson G Bhanuprakash Reddy, Chilakam Ramchandra Reddy, Shantha Reddy, Chandra Reddy and P Bhaskar were present.
