Union HRD Minister all praise for Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha

Tirupati: Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr Satyapal Singh on Thursday visited Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) and addressed the faculty, non-teaching and other members of staff. In his speech, the Central Minister said only Sanskrit language will rule entire world after another 50 years.

“If I am having re-birth then I will pray to the God to see that I should born in a Sanskrit family, so that I can become a Vedic scholar,” he stated. The Minister mentioned that one can have good Samskara only with Sanskrit and said scientific things are abundant in Sanskrit language. Satyapal Singh said that Vedic scholars and scientists can do marvellous things if they work together.

The Minister assured of extending support in making RSVP as a Central Sanskrit University and requested the Vice-Chancellor (V-C) to look into the formalities for the same. In his welcome note, RSVP V-C Prof V Muralidhara Sharma has highlighted the history of Vidyapeetha and said that the RSVP is the only one, which is having legacy of imparting everything in Sanskrit only.

Prior to the meeting, the Minister had a glance through of Sanskrit Science Exhibition, the Yoga demonstration by the students at indoor stadium and ICT Lab. He appreciated the RSVP for taking care of Sanskrit language. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Registrar Prof Ch P Satyanarayana, academic Dean RLN Sastry and faculty members and non-teaching were present in the programme.
