BJP leaders demand jobs for kin of TGP oustees

Nellore: BJP leaders staged a dharna at Telugu Ganga Project (TGP) office in Podalakur road area on Saturday, demanding employment to the family members, who lost their lands. They warned that they would take up agitations if the administration fails to consider woes of the victims even after decades. 

BJP leaders said the state government has to provide employment to the oustees as part of R&R package and the victims have still been representing the district administration even after 25 years. They said the process of filling up 35 posts in Nellore zone was started around 2 years and still has been continuing. Even though, some people are attaining the age of 50, still they are unemployed giving their lands for the project, the BJP leaders slammed. 

They said there was confusion in recruitment process with blame game between secretariat officials and the district administration. State EC member M Ramesh, leaders Gangula Janardhan, B Suresh Naidu and others were present.
