DGP XI beats CS XI in Fest Tourney

Vijayawada: The DGP XI defeated the Chief Secretary XI (CS XI) in the Festival Cricket Tournament held between the two sides at the International Cricket Stadium in Mulapadu, Ibrahimpatnam, on Saturday. The CS XI won the toss and elected to bat first. 

The team scored 88 runs in the stipulated 16 overs by losing four wickets. Pradyumna made unbeaten 37 runs in 43 balls. Replying to the total, the DGP XI easily reached the target in 11 overs. Kanti Rana Tata scored 20 runs in 25 balls and Vijay Rao made 25 runs in 31 balls. Another batsman Vishal Gunni made unbeaten 23 in 25 balls to guide the team for the comfortable victory. Kanti Rana Tata has been declared the man of the match. Pradyumna was awarded the best batsman and Amburaj as the best bowler of the match.
