Ministers lay foundation for housing complex

Visakhapatnam: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P Narayana, along with Minister for Road and Buildings Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu, laid the foundation stone for the construction of 2,592 houses in Bayapureddipalem in Narsipatnam municipality limits on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Narayana said that the construction of the houses was taken up with new technology and necessary facilities. The government has taken up the construction of 6.81 lakh houses across the state and construction of 15,000 houses was completed so far. Vice-President M Venkaiahnaidu would inaugurate the houses soon, he added.

One school, hospital, community hall and market would be set up at the weaker section housing complex. Each house would be constructed with 300, 365 and 430 square yards. In order to complete all the houses by March 2019, the government has given the contract to the reputed companies.

On the occasion, Ayyannapatrudu said that 4,743 houses were sanctioned to Narsipatnam municipality at two separate places. The 2,592 houses would be constructed in an extent of 27 acres, he added. He assured that the selection of beneficiaries would be taken with transparency.

Chairperson of Narsipatnam Municipality Chintakayala Anitha and Chairperson of Yelamanchili Municipality Rama Devi were present.
