Govt assures purchase of redgram 

Amaravati: Minister for Agriculture SomireddyChandramohanReddyand Minister for Marketing have said that the government is  committed to protect the interests of red-gram farmers. Ch Adinarayana Reddy

Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat here on Monday, they have said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed them to purchase total produce of red-gram from farmers. They point out that the production is high this year.  

Somireddyhas said that the Centre has agreed to purchase 45,000 metric tonnes and the remaining produce would be purchased by State government. The government would buy 25 quintals from each red-gram farmer. The ministers held a review meeting with the officials  on red-gram purchase in the State.
