AP State govt should fulfil promises, scribes demand

Chittoor: As per the call given Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ), the scribes staged a dharna at the office of the RDO here on Tuesday, raising slogans against the state government’s indifferent attitude towards of genuine demands of the journalists in the state.
Addressing the scribes, Indian Journalists Union (IJU) leader V Krishna said the government failed to fulfil the promise of Rs 3,000 monthly pension for the kin of deceased journalists and duplex houses for scribes.
District APUWJ Co-convenor Sivaprasad, Chittoor Press Club President Ramesh Babu, and union leaders were present. Later, they submitted a memorandum to RDO Kodandarami Reddy.
