Arrangements for SSC public exams reviewed

Kurnool: The district administration has made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of SSC exams scheduled to take place from March 15th onwards. The exams would be conducted from 9.00 a m to 12.30 pm till March 29.

In total, 50,442 students will appear for the exams in the district in which 49,934 are regular students and 508 private students. The officials identified 10 centres from the total of 226 as sensitive. As many as 65 storage points were set up at various places across the district to keep the question papers in police stations and the papers will be transported to different centres through 22 routes.

On Tuesday, District Collector S Satyanarayana conducted a one- day orientation programme to the observers of examination centres and departmental officers at Sunaina Auditorium. The Collector directed the officials of Education department to ensure steps for the smooth conduct of exams. He said that he will initiate serious action if there are lapses.

The Collector further directed the government staff to coordinate with the officials of other departments. He instructed the officials to provide drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, furniture and other facilities to the students at the exam centres. The Medical and Health department will provide one ANM and first-aid kits along with the ORS sachets at each exam centre, the Collector said. 

Apart from this, Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will arrange special bus services and advised them not to collect charges from the students. Regional Joint Director, Educational department, Pratap Reddy, District Educational Officer Tahera Sultana, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Project Officer Vidya Sagar and others were present.
