Council members pay rich tributes to muddu
Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Cabinet ministers and the MLCs expressed deep condolences in the Legislative Councilon Tuesday over the sudden demise of the MLC and senior TDP leader GaliMudduKrishnama Naidu.
The Chief Minister, the ministers and the colleagues in the council have recollected their association with the departed leader and narrated how the leader had mingled with the party workers and the people of Chittoor district during his long career in politics.
Earlier, Leader of the House and Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu introduced the condolence motion expressing his deep sense of sorrow over the demise of the popular leader. The House observed two-minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed leader.
The Chief Minister in his condolence message, has said GaliMudduKrishnuma Naidu was a rare leader and he has special place in the politics of Andhra Pradesh. He said that he had association with him for over 30 years and pointed out that the demise of MudduKrishnama Naidu is a great loss to the state.
He recalled that MudduKrishnama Naidu had done great service to the people of his constituency as MLA for six times. ‘The work what we do to the people remain forever in the minds of the people,’ asserted the Chief Minister.
Chandrababu Naidu has announced that a degree college in Nagari and an irrigation project in Chittoor district will be named after MudduKrishnama Naidu.
Civil Supplies Minister PrathipatiPullarao recalled that GaliMuddukrishnama Naidu had a long association with Guntur and Krishna districts and he used to visit these two districts frequently.
Health Minister DrKamineni Srinivas, Minister for Industries S Amarnath Reddy, MLC V Subramanyam and others spoke in the Legislative Council. They recalled the services of MudduKrishnama Naidu as the minister of Higher Education and the minister of Forests in the state.
