Digital classrooms inaugurated
Vijayawada: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar inaugurated the digital classrooms at the Zilla Parishad High School at Kondapalli near here on Tuesday. Addressing a meeting in this connection, the Chief Secretary said that the world of education is constantly changing and evolving and they need to create a learning environment that supports 21st century learning. “The solution is pretty obvious- schools need to implement digital classrooms”, he pointed out.
The Janmabhoomi is the flagship programme of the government and connecting NRIs to their diaspora who contributes for the development of the state as well. During the inauguration ceremony, District Collector Laxmikantham was present to express his support and enthusiasm towards the initiative. The initiative seeks to work tirelessly towards uplifting the educational infrastructure in government schools through the use of digital literacy.
Janmabhoomi 2017 Awards for best digital classrooms utilisation were also distributed by Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar to RS Ganga Bhavani, district education officer and S Abraham, district education officer of East Godavari district. With a mission of digitally empowering the 5,000 government schools by 2018, this initiative is aimed at providing effective and comprehensive environment for students, digital content and classroom software.
