Inter-Collegiate Sports Meet begins

Visakhapatnam: The Inter-Collegiate Annual Sports Meet of GITAM University kicked off here on Tuesday at GIMSR grounds. Vice-Chancellor of GITAM Prof MS Prasada Rao was the chief guest and declared the annual sports meet open.

Basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, tennis, badminton, table tennis, chess, discuss through, athletics will be played at different venues on the campus.

Around 500 students from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam are participating in the competitions, informed secretary of GITAM Sports Board  K Ramakrishna Rao.

GITAM Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivarama Krishna, Registrar Prof M Potharaju, Principal of GITAM Institute of Technology Prof K Lakshmiprasad, Principal of Institute of Pharmacy Prof S Ganapathi, Joint Director of GSIB Prof  Narayanan and others participated in the inaugural function.
