Following protests by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs over the special category status for Andhra Pradesh, the Lok Sabha has adjourned abruptly for the third consecutive day on Wednesday.
The YSR Congress party members too were seen protesting demanding the implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act.
Opposition members held placards and raised slogans minutes after the House assembled for the day, as they surrounded Speaker Sumitra Mahajan’s podium.
Despite repeated requests, Mahajan was unable to run the proceedings, subsequently, she adjourned the House.
Earlier in the day, the TDP MPs staged protests near the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Delhi.
