Rally on kidney ailments today
Vijayawada: The important organ to clean the system in the body is kidney, and one should take precautions to keep the kidney healthy. To create awareness among women on kidney-related diseases and other problems, an awareness rally will be taken out on Thursday to mark the World Kidney Day.
In all, 2,000 people will participate in the rally which will start from Ramesh Hospitals near the Executive Club and culminate at NTR University of Health Sciences, said Dr Nallamati Ammanna, vice-president of Andhra Pradesh Society of Nephrology (APSN) and head of Aruna Kidney Centre here on Wednesday. the media persons, Ammanna said that an awareness programme on kidney-related diseases will be held at NTR University of Health Sciences to mark the World Kidney Day.
NTR University Vice-Chancellor Dr CV Rao, Andhra Pradesh Medical Council Chairman Dr Raja Rao and others will participate in the programme. They will address the women and others on precautions to be taken to keep the kidney healthy, treatment for kidney related diseases and organ donation.
He said all the 110 doctors of APSN organised free awareness and suggestion camps for women at their hospitals and clinics across the state and created awareness among women on kidney related diseases and infections and how to keep the kidney healthy.
