13 workers hurt as RTC bus hits tractor

Nellore: Four workers received serious injuries and 9 others sustained minor injuries when a tractor overturned after colliding with a RTC bus near DC Palli Tobacco auction centre in Marripadu mandal here on Thursday. 

The injured were shifted to local hospitals in Atmakur. According to sources, 21 workers from Ramanaidupalli of Marripadu mandal attended for agriculture labour in Kansapet in Atmakur mandal. 

While they were returning, the tractor in which they were travelling was hit by an RTC bus heading towards Nellore from Udayagiri. Atmakur RTC DM Trinadh visited the injured at Atmakur area hospital.

Five injured were shifted to a local private hospital and 8 others to Atmakur area hospital for treatment. The condition of four injured is said to be serious. Marripadu Sub-Inspector Sk Abdul Razak registered a case.
