Burglars arrested

Visakhapatnam: On a tip-off, Gajuwaka police arrested four persons and recovered 3.25 tolas of gold, two cell phones, Appe auto and three laptops from them here on Wednesday.

Addressing the media, south zone (crime) ACP J Ram Mohan Rao said that the four accused, residents of Malkapuram area burgled houses at Malkapuram and Gajuwaka areas.

Police arrested Nammi Srikanth and M Prabhu Raju for committing the thefts and L Rajesh and V Kumar for purchasing the stolen goods. He disclosed that the accused Nammi Srikanth tried to flee by throwing chilli powder into the eyes of inspector.
