Officials told to change pipelines at Anandpeta

Guntur: Director of municipal administration K Kanna Babu said that  drinking  water  contamination  led  to diarrhoea in the city. He  paid a visit to Anandpet and interacted with locals and inspected drinking  water  pipelines. 

During the inspection, he found that drinking  water  pipelines were laid along with drainage pipelines. Hence, he instructed  the officials to remove  the pipelines and lay fresh pipelines.   

He  instructed the officials to create awareness about diarrhoea. Following the instructions, District Collector Kona Sasidhar directed the officials to depute special teams to One Town area where diarrhoea were cases registered.  He directed the officials to supply drinking water in these wards through tankers till diarrhoea is  controlled.
