National Aeronautics and Space Administration invites Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya girl students

Vijayawada: Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan state project director G Srinivas appreciated the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) girls studying Classes VIII, IX and X for exhibiting their talent to get invite from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the USA.

Addressing the media persons here on Thursday, Srinivas said 11 students of KGBV were selected by NASA and will participate in poster presentation on life in space, growth of plants, create air and build houses on space. The event will be organised by the International Space Development Conference (ISDC) in Los Angeles on May 24.  

He said the students have immense talent though they come from the poor families. He said they had initially participated in a pilot poster presentation at Nellore and Chittoor districts and got selected.

He informed that KGBV students batch will be the first to participate in an event at NASA. The following are the students who have been selected: Velaga Pratyusha (Chittoor), K Reddi Rani (Kadapa), Ch Sneha (Gangavaram), Gujjala Divya (KV Palli), S K Rohini (Punganoor), K Preeti (Bireddypalli), T Saisri (Rompicherla), M Pooja (KV Palli), V Saida Bahno (Punganuru), M Lavanya and V Asvini.
