National parties losing people’s faith: Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that people losing faith on the national parties as they failed to solve the problems of the state. 

Addressing the Assembly here on Thursday on World Women’s Day celebrations, Naidu said that now, the BJP was also doing same mistake what the Congress party did at the time of state bifurcation. 

Stating that the national parties should act responsibly, the Chief Minister warned the BJP would also face the similar fate like the Congress if it failed to act properly on the state problems.  

Recalling that the state was divided ‘unscientifically’ and the BJP had also supported the bifurcation, Naidu asked the BJP as to why the party included Special Category Status in its election manifesto and claimed it would extend the benefit to state for 10 years. 

“The assurances are not implemented even in the fifth year. Now I am being targeted for asking the implementation of AP Reorganisation Act. During the elections, the BJP promised the people that all the assurances in the AP Reorganisation Act would be implemented.

The finance minister and other top leaders agreed to provide Rs 7,000 crore as revenue deficit under the Gentlemen's agreement. Now, they say only Rs 138 crore will come to the state under that account despite sending utilisation certificates on time.

Though the Centre had released the money, but it was debited from the state’s account immediately. Several incidents are there to explain to the people,” he said.

The Chief Minister also said that he was not against personally with anyone and praised the services of Kamineni Srinivas and P Manikyala Rao, who resigned to their ministers’ posts. Naidu said both the leaders successfully implemented the government schemes and introduced reforms in their respective departments.
