Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test to be conducted on July 1

Visakhapatnam: Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University G Nageswara Rao said that the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET-2018) would be conducted in both languages Telugu and English. The Vice-Chancellor disclosed the details of the APSET-2018 at a press conference here on Friday. With the government orders for recruitment of lecturers and promotions to the working lecturers as assistant professors, the APSET would be conducted as per the norms of the UGC, he added.

The candidate have to apply online for APSET-2018 examination with a registration fee of Rs 1,000 for general category, Rs 800 for BCs, Rs 500 for SC, ST, PH and VH categories.  The APSET examination would be conducted in 31 subjects for which UGC  has granted permission at six regional centres in Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Guntur, Nellore, Anantapur and Tirupati, Nageswara Rao said.

May 2 is the last date for applying, with a late fee of Rs 1,000 will be allowed till May 10, with Rs 2,000 May 21 and with Rs 5,000 up to June 6. The syllabus prescribed by UGC-CSIR and UGC-Net for Paper-I for 100 marks with 50 questions and paper II for 200 marks for 100 questions without negative marks be adopted for APSET and the exam pattern will be objective type, the Vice- Chancellor added.
