Centre betrayed AP, charges Sujay
Vizianagaram: Minister for Mines and Geology RVSK Ranga Rao stated that the Central government betrayed the Andhra Pradesh and failed to fulfil its promises, which were given during 2014 elections. On Saturday, the minister interacted with media here and pointed out that the BJP-led NDA government had assured that it would give more funds than the special status and later it had forgotten them.
``Now we are fighting with the Union government on 19 key points, issues, which were mentioned in bifurcation bill. We believed that the Union government would sanction funds for projects and schemes; but now we realised that we are being betrayed. The Centre put a deaf ear on our requests, demands and urges. The Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley insulted the people of AP with his statements. Our ministers at the Centre Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Y Sujana Chowdary had resigned’’ the minister said.
Ranga Rao alleges that in fact, the former PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana was the culprit and had played key role in state bifurcation for his personal benefits. Now again, he is shedding crocodile tears on the issue and blaming the both TDP and BJP. ``Anyhow, people would understand the facts behind the important issue, which is linked with the interests and emotions of AP people. We will explain the people how the Centre had deceived us,” Sujayadded.
