Elephants herd seen near Mamanduru

Tirupati: An elephants herd was spotted by the Forest personnel near Prakruthi Bata at Kundelukunta water pond, at about 15 km from Tirupati city, at about 11.30 a.m on Friday.  

Wild life Tirupati division DRO Narayan and his team spotted the elephants when they were going for inspection in Mamanduru forest section. 
More than 30 elephants were found in the pond. The jumbos took bath the pond for some time and left into deep forest.  

It may be noted that  about a week ago, wild elephants herd  had spotted by the forest personnel at mid-night near Prakruthi Bata. The Forest officials have sounded a high alert and warned the villagers of Anjaneyapuram, Chaithanya Puram, Mamanduru  should not go inside the forest without forest officials permission.

“ Unauthorised entry in to the forest is strictly prohibited by the government. Our DFO Phani Kumar Naidu has taken all the precautionary measures “, said the DRO Narayana.
