Government to establish Telugu Academy in Tamil Nadu
Amaravati: The AP government will establish Telugu Academy and Cultural Centre in Tamil Nadu to encourage the Telugu people residing in that state. Responding to the requests of Linguistic Minority Forum of Tamil Nadu representatives, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Secretariat on Saturday, assured that the government will ensure establishment of these two institutions in Tamil Nadu and encourage the Telugu people.
The Forum members demanded that the Tamil Nadu government should allow the students of Telugu community in Tamil Nadu to write the exams in their mother-tongue, Telugu. The Forum president CMK Reddy and others expressed hope on Chandrababu Naidu that he could convince the Tamil Nadu government to allow the Telugu students in that state to study and write the exams in Telugu.
Chandrababu Naidu assured them that he would do whatever he could for the Telugu people living in Tamil Nadu. He directed the concerned officials to ensure establishment of Telugu Academy and Cultural Centre in Tamil Nadu.
