  • The YSRCP chief is more interested on his political survival and cares two hoots about the State’s interests, says Yanamala
  • Says the TDP has withdrawn its two members from the Union Cabinet as the State was deprived of the benefits mentioned in AP Reorganisation Act

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat on Saturday, TDP State president and Minister Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao and Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu alleged that the YSR Congress was trying to extend support to the BJP.

They said, “YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy is more interested on his political survival and coming out of cases filed against him.” They said Jagan was striving to legalise Rs one lakh crore which he had earned through illegal practices during the regime of his father and former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Ramakrishnudu alleged that the YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was
trying to come out of the Enforcement Directorate and CBI cases by extending support to the BJP. While the TDP withdrew its Ministers from the Central government demanding justice to the State, the Finance Minister pointed out.

“Though we are continuing the alliance with BJP, we have been fighting against the Central government both in Parliament and outside. On the other hand, the YSRCP was eager to join hands with BJP,” he said.

Ramakrishnudu flayed the YSRCP leaders for adopting double standards.
While extending support to the BJP, the leaders of Opposition in the State were stating that they would move a no-confidence motion against the BJP-led NDA government, he said.
“YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy said that only the BJP would give the Special Category Status to AP.

This itself explains their conspiracy. They wanted political mileage to come out of the cases,” Ramakrishnudu said.

“Jagan was in jail for months together, facing money laundering cases, attending court hearings every Friday and now trying to come out of these cases by joining hands with BJP,” the Minister said hitting out at the Opposition leader.

“Jagan never fought for protection of interests of State, but always looked for his benefits and is working with vested interests only,” he criticised.

“We are not saying that the Central government did not give us anything. But wereare demanding fulfillment of all the promises made in the Reorganisation Act including Special Category Status, meeting revenue deficit and others,” he explained.

Ramakrishnudu said that the TDP had withdrawn is two Ministers from the Union Cabinet after the State was deprived of the benefits that were promised in the Reorganisation Act.

TDP State president K Kala Venkata Rao alleged that the YSR Congress party was set up only to protect the selfish interests of its party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

He pointed out that Jagan is accused No.1 in 11 money laundering cases and Vijay Sai Reddy accused No.2  “They have been looking for opportunities to enter into an alliance with the party in power at the Centre to come out cases,” Venkata Rao said.
The people would teach a lesson to the YSRCP at an appropriate time, he said.
