Naval chief pays visit to Eastern Naval Command

Visakhapatnam: Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Sunil Lanba arrived here on Saturday on a two-day visit to the Eastern Naval Command (ENC). The CNS was received by Vice-Admiral Karambir Singh, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ENC, at INS Dega. During the visit, Admiral Lanba addressed the officers and sailors of naval units here.

During the visit, he emphasised the need for ships, submarines and air squadrons to be combat ready always. Later, the CNS visited INS Kalinga and INS Karna and was briefed on the activities of these units. 
 
The CNS is scheduled to preside over the Governing Council Meeting (GCM) and annual general body meeting (AGM) of the Navy Foundation (NF) on Sunday prior to his departure from Visakhapatnam. The meeting will be attended by Presidents, Secretaries from the fifteen chapters of the Navy Foundation from across the country and the Controller of Personnel Services from the Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Navy).
