Senior National Triathlon Championship on March 11

Visakhapatnam: Senior National Triathlon Championship for Men and Women will be conducted by AP Triathlon Association on the Beach Road on March 11, said West MLA PVGR Naidu. City Police Commissioner T Yoganand will inaugurate the championship on March 11.

After a decade gap, the association is conducting the championship in the city. The 1,500 metres swimming event will be held at the Aqua Sports Complex followed by 40 km cycling and 10 km run on the Beach Road.

Visakhapatnam West MLA PVGR Naidu will be the chief guest, said  General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Triathlon Association D Prasanna Kumar. In all,  110 from various states, Union Territories and institutions are expected to participate in the meet. Over  40 officials will conduct the event under the aegis of the Indian Triathlon Federation, Chennai.
