Students told to keep abreast of technology

Ongole: Only those students, who have discipline, dedication and commitment, will achieve success, said deputy general manager of ISRO SHAR Dr BV Subba Rao. He inaugurated the QIS FEST 2018, a national-level cultural and technical fest at QIS Educational Institutions here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Subba Rao recalled his association with the former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and called upon the students to keep abreast of latest technologies for progress in their careers. Students are future of the nation and asked them to follow ethics. He said that students should possess communication skills, along with other skills, to get placement in the campus recruitment.

Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao, chairman of Nidamanuri Educational Trust, said that the QIS Institutions will be a step ahead in providing best education with discipline. He mentioned that the APSSDC set up a skill development centre in the college and eight students of the QIS were selected to Stanford University fellowship.

The management announced that 5,000 students from various colleges across the country participated in the QIS Fest-2018. They said that in the symposium, students from various colleges presented 252 papers, 123 posters and participated in technical quiz and other activities. A large number of students also participated in volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, table tennis, throw ball, chess, dance, mimicry and fashion show.
