Round-table on Special Category Status in Vijayawada on March 19

Vijayawada: Pratyeka Hoda, Vibhajana Hameela Sadhana Samiti leaders on Tuesday announced that they would intensify the agitation for the Special Category Status (SCS) if the Union government does not concede to their demand on granting SCS. 

Samiti president Chalasani Srinivas, Secretary and CPI State Secretary K Ramakrishna, film actor Sivaji and others spoke to media in a hotel here on Tuesday.

The leaders have announced they would organise a Round table meeting on March 19 in Vijayawada with various political parties to discuss future course of action on SCS. They came down heavily on the TDP government alleging that the party is trying to mislead the people by making two cabinet ministers resign from the Union cabinet.They demanded that TDP should withdraw from the NDA alliance. 

They alleged that the BJP had betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh. Film actor Sivaji announced that he would begin indefinite hunger strike in Amaravati if the Union government does not concede to the demand of Telugu people.
