Panchayat workers stage dharna

Eluru:  The grama panchayat workers staged a dharna here on Tuesday demanding that the government enhance the wages of the workers as per the GO 151.The workers led by CITU reached the district panchayat office here and staged the dharna.

Speaking on the occasion, CITU district leader Mavuri Srinivasa Rao  said that the government not only failed to regularise the services of panchayat workers, but also did not pay minimum wages.
