JUDAs take out candle light rally in city
Viskhapatnam: As a part of their ongoing stir for immediate registrations, junior doctors and PG medical students of Andhra Medical College took out a candle light rally here on Wednesday. The JUDAs are agitating demanding the government for medical practitioner registrations soon after thee completion of their degree.
Visakha Junior Doctors Association also demanding for pending stipend dues. The government is not paying stipend to the students since September 2017 and also 15 per cent hike of stipend arrears. The doctors staged a silent protest as part of their agitation.
On the occasion, Visakha Junior Doctors Association president Kodandaram said that though the government released the stipend dues, authorities concerned are not paying to the JUDAs. He said that the amount was kept at the district treasury, he alleged.
The doctors also urged the government to implement the GOs and render justice for them. The junior doctors had quit from outpatient services which are not emergency cases at various hospitals like KGH, ENT and VGH. The doctors also urged the government not to neglect their demands.
