SSC exams begin on a peaceful note in West Godavari district
Eluru: The SSC examinations began on a peaceful note in West Godavari district on Thursday. The students reached the examination centres one hour before. In Eluru city, the examination centre areas packed with students and their parents. The officials made elaborate arrangements to conduct the exams. Section 144 was imposed at the examination centres.
The officials checked the students thoroughly before entering the examination centres. In all, 239 centres were established in the district for the examinations. Official squads conducted checks in 81 centres in West Godavari district.
Meanwhile, District In-Charge Collector P Koteswara Rao, district educational officer CV Renuka went around the examination centres at KPDT High School, Bhashyam School and other centres in the city.
District In-Charge Collector P Koteswara Ro said that out of 48,539 students, 48,207 students attended the examinations all over the district. Over 332 students abstained from the examination.
The district has recorded a 99.33 per cent attendance in Class X exams, he added. He said that no malpractice or mass copying incidents were reported in the district and the examinations went off peacefully on the first day. On the first day, Telugu language-1 exam was conducted in the district.
