Village mall opened

Kadapa: The state government will be upgrading the existing 55 fair price shops into Chandranna Village Malls in the district. As part of the initiative, District Collector T Baburao Naidu has inaugurated a Chandranna Village Mall at Nagarajupet in the city on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said village mall will sell quality products at reasonable prices to the poor and middle class. He directed all government offices in the district to purchase stationary and other office requirements from the village mall. He made an appeal to the store organisers to maintain all essential commodities in the mall without compromising on quality.

The Collector stated that district administration will take steps for converting fair price shops into village malls in all constituency headquarters for the benefit of consumers. Joint Collector-2 Siva Reddy and other officials were present.
