However, he did not elaborate further on this even as the YSRCP was mounting pressure on the Centre as well the TDP by deciding to introduce no-confidence motion on Friday itself in view of the spreading of reports that the House would be getting adjourned sine a die.

YSRCP MP Y V Subba Reddy served notices to the Lok Sabha Secretary General in this regard. The party said that the Centre had gone back on its promise of SCS to AP and hence, it should face the `no-confidence motion.’

To strengthen its campaign against the Centre, the MPs of the party met various Opposition party leaders and handed them over copies of the letters written by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy seeking their  cooperation on the issue.

The party had earlier planned to introduce the motion on March 21 and it also declared that its MPs' would be resigning on April 6. The MPs gave the letters to the TDP, Congress, BJD, TRS, AAP, TMC, NCP, CPM and SP leaders. In their meeting with Thota Narasimham of the TDP, they requested the party to join hands to fight for the status Setting aside their political differences.
