Detailed Project Report ready for lifting water from GDP to summer storage tank

Kurnool: Dr CB Harinath Reddy, Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation, said that they are taking steps to mitigate drinking water shortage in the city during the summer. He convened a meeting with the officials of the Irrigation department at his chamber here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said a Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared for lifting water through pipeline from Gajula Dinne Project (GDP) to Summer Storage (SS) Tank situated in Munagalapadu village.

He also discussed with officials about the meeting the drinking water needs of increasing city population. After winding up the meeting on drinking water crisis, Harinath Reddy has inspected the municipal parks. He assured of installing playing equipment in the parks for children and open gymnasiums.

The civic chief further said that associations would be formed with the locals and the civic staff to take care of the respective colony parks. Irrigation department’s Superintending Engineers (HNSS) Nagaraju and J Reddy, Superintending Engineer (Public Health) Srinath Reddy, Municipal Engineer Surendra Babu and other officials were present.
