Pawan Kalyan comes under fire from TDP

Tirupati: Jana Sena Party meeting held on Wednesday in Guntur had its echo here with the TDP leaders slamming Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan for levelling serious allegations against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh.

Speaking to media here on Thursday, TDP state spokesperson and former MLC B Chengalrayulu dared Pawan Kalyan to prove his allegations against Nara Lokesh or else he should tender public apology.

Taking strong objection against Pawan Kalyan for terming Lokesh as the epicentre of corruption, he said Lokesh had initiated several measures after he became Panchayat Raj Minister revamping the department to enhance transparency and improve performance more so with regard to drinking water supply in rural areas.

Ridiculing Pawan claiming that he had not obtained any favours from TDP for supporting it all these years, the TDP leader claimed that it was on his recommendation his follower Dr Hari Prasad was appointed as TTD Trust Board member.

He further said that Jana Sena leader has no moral right to accuse others as he himself indulged in corruption by purchasing land for just for Rs 40 lakh as per registration records while the actual cost of the land where he recently performed bhumi pooja in Guntur district was about Rs 40 crore.

Chengalrayulu alleged that Pawan was acting against the Chief Minister and TDP at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added that the people will be able to see through the smokescreen of baseless allegations.

In the same breath, he said that still the party is keen on friendly with Pawan as he was the one, who supported TDP to come back to power. Meanwhile, TDP leader and TUDA chairman G Narasimha Yadav also criticised Pawan Kalyan for his allegations againstChandrababu, Lokesh and TDP.
