Thunderstorms likely in coastal AP, Rayalaseema

Hyderabad: Thuderstorms accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh on March 16, the Met department bulletin warned on Thursday.

The department forecast light to moderate rain/thundershowers at isolated place in all coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts on March 16, 17 and 18, even while warning of thunderstorms, with gusty winds, likely to occur in all districts.

The forecast stated that dry weather will prevail on March 19 and 20. No large change during the subsequent three days is the outlook. According to the bulletin, the highest maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tuni and Kurnool.

The other temperatures in the State were: Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram, Anantapur & Kadapa 38 each, Visakhapatnam Airport, Nandyal & Tirupati 37 each, Nellore & Vijayawada & Arogyavaram 35 each, Kakinada, Kalingapatnam, Kavali, Ongole & Visakhapatnam 34 each, Machilipatnam 33, Bapatla & Narsapur 32 each. The lowest minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jangamaheswarapuram.
