Wife kills husband for insurance money in Kurnool

Kurnool: In a shocking incident, a woman killed her husband to claim his insurance money. In this gory endeavour, she too the help of her paramour, a neighbouring couple and two other hired killers.

The incident occurred in Kurnool. According to the police, Srinivasulu of Cholaveedu in Prakasam district is into oil business in Hyderabad. His wife Rama Devi has an extra-marital relation with one Madhusudan Reddy, sarpanch of Cholaveedu. Rama Devi, Madhusudhan Reddy, Srinivasulu’s business partner Ramesh, his wife Preneetha made Srinivasulu ensure himself for large sums in various insurance companies They then planned to kill him so that they can claim the insurance amount.

On January 25, Ramesh hired Moinbasha and took Srinivasulu on a pilgrimage in Kurnool district. Near Orvakallu of Kurnool district, they stopped the vehicle on some pretext and pushed Srinivasulu against an oncoming lorry. As an injured Srinivasulu was battling for life, Moin Basha throttled him to death. They later painted this as an accident and made efforts to claim the insurance.

However, Srinivasulu’s relatives expressed doubts about the manner of the accident. The police investigated the case and suspected Moin Basha. When Moin was questioned, he cracked underpressure and admitted to the crime. Ramadevi, Ramesh, Madhusudan Reddy and Praneetha are on the run. Efforts are on to nab them.
