Pawan mouthing Modi script: Naidu
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday hauled Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the coals for going back on the promise of granting special category status to AP, questioning him why he was teaming up with those who are A1 and A2 in corruption cases?
The Chief Minister, moving a resolution in the Legislative Assembly demanding special category status for AP, explained the reasons for the TDP to sever its ties with the BJP permanently. “Though I had visited Delhi 29 times, there was no response to the state’s crying needs,” Naidu pointed out.
“I will not admit defeat. I will continue my struggle,” he said. The CM said the nation would progress with the development of the states and pointed out that it is the responsibility of the Centre to render assistance for the development of the state by granting SCS and release funds as per the provisions of the AP State Reorganisation Act in setting up educational institutions of national importance and industries.
“I have been asking for assurances made to AP in the Rajya Sabha at the time division of the state,” he pointed out. Referring to the recent political developments, Naidu wanted to know why the BJP, YSR Congress and Pawan Kalyan were targeting him. “Is it because I am struggling for SCS for the state?” he asked.
He wondered why Pawan Kalyan is criticising him though he did not say a word against him during the last four years. Naidu suspected the hand of the BJP behind Pawan Kalyan’s allegations.
He said the people of Andhra Pradesh would not allow Tamil Nadu type of politics in the state. He alleged some forces are trying to create turmoil in the state and blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for it. He alleged that the BJP was trying to create rift among the people and raising the Rayalaseema declaration.
