Almanac predicts good rains, yields for state
Vijayawada: Noted astrologer Prabala Subramanya Sarma predicted Andhra Pradesh would receive good rainfall and farmers would get good agriculture yields in Vilambinama Samvatsaram.
The astrologer read the Ugadi Panchagam (almanac) on the occasion of Ugadi celebrations organised by the department of culture and language and endowments at the Tummalapalli Kshetrayya kalakshetram here on Sunday. Subramanya Sarma predicted that there were good signs as per the astrology for the state as well as state’s leader Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
He said the Chief Minister would rule firmly and the people of the state would support him. Both State and Union governments would face some ups and downs but they continue to rule, he said.
He said there is a good scope for the better crop output in agriculture, horticulture, dairy sectors while education and sports would record very low progress. He hoped the farmers get remunerative price to the crops in new year and predicted stock market may face ups and downs.
He explained the importance of Ugadi festival, Telugu language, culture and tradition. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was the chief guest at the programme.
Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad, ministers Bhuma Akhila Priya, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, district collector B Lakshmikantham and others were present at the Ugadi celebrations.
