State resolved to complete Polavaram as per schedule: Uma
Rajamahendravaram: Minister for Water Resources Department (WRD) DevineniUmamaheswara Rao said that he is ready to sacrifice his life or even ready to go to jail relating to Polavaram Project. The Telugu Desam government will complete the project as per schedule though some parties and individuals are creating problems and the government is ready to face any challenges posed relating to the project.
Speaking to reporters at La Hospin Hotel here on Saturday, the minister alleged YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and two others - Sarma from Visakhapatnam and Undavalli Arun Kumar of Rajamahendravaram - are posing problems to the government with false allegations. They are continuously demanding central government to send us to jail for executing the Polavaram Project works and also order for an enquiry.
“YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy who is an economic offender is trying to tarnish the image of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu through his padayatra and MP Vijay Sai Reddy has been roaming around the Prime Minister's office to give complaints against TDP government, mainly relating to Polavaram Project works. Meanwhile, former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar also sending e-mails to central government with false information relating to Polavaram Project,’’ Devineni said.
The people are not ready to believe the allegations made by Jagan and Vijay Sai against the government. He pointed out that Jagan and Vijay Sai were named as A1 and A2 in different cases. YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his team who are trying to stop Polavaram Project works will be considered as traitors and the people will not forgive them for their misdeeds, he said.
Polavaram Project is a lifeline to the state, which is the need of the hour. Congress government both at state andcentre was in power for a decade and failed to complete the project. The people are well aware about the developments in the state and they will teach a lesson to the respective parties and persons who are trying to hamper the development of the state as well as Polavaram Project, he averred.
