Andhra University to conduct APSET on July 1
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET-2018) for year 2018 will be conducted on July 1. The Andhra University (AU), will conduct the test for recruitment and promotions of lecturers, assistant professors in degree colleges as per the University Grant Commission (UGC) Regulations.
According to a release by AU, eligible candidates who wish to apply for APSET-2018 may submit their applications through online mode at apset.net.in. The registration fee of Rs. 1,000 for general category, Rs 800 for BC. category and Rs 500 for SC/ST/PH/VH categories can be paid through payment gateway (credit card/ debit card/ net banking).
The examination is conducted in six regional centres at Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Guntur, Nellore, Anantapur and Tirupati. The question paper-I, which is common for all candidates appearing APSET, will be bilingual (English and Telugu). Paper–II for subjects of Commerce, Economics, Education, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology and Social Work will be bilingual (English and Telugu).
All the remaining papers will be in English only. The APSET-2017 examination was held in 31 subjects for which UGC has granted permission and the same would be followed in APSET-2018. There is no negative marking. Online applications process will begin on March 26, and the last date for submission of online applications without late fee (only registration fee ) is May 2.
After that, applicants can also apply with a late fee of Rs 1,000 and registration fee by May 10 or with a late fee of Rs 2,000 and registration fee by May 21. As a final chance, they can also apply with a late fee of Rs 5,000 and registration fee by June.
