Two hurt in separate land disputes
Eluru: Two persons sustained injuries in a dispute over land in separate incidents following the attack by their rivals on Sunday. According to police, Peddada Krishna Rao,65 of Gollayagudem area in Eluru city, had some boundary dispute with his neighbour Gampala Durga Rao. A 3-feet land between the two houses was vacant and for this, there were altercations going on over some time.
Gampala Durga Rao along with his son Gautam and another three attacked Peddada Krishna Rao on Sunday and stabbed him in the stomach with knives. Later, they fled the scene. The seriously injured Krishna Rao was shifted to Eluru Government hospital by his relatives.
However, as the condition of Durgarao said to be serious, the doctors suggested shifting him to Vijayawada Government Hospital. A case has been registered with Eluru rural police station.
In another incident in Kodigudem village of Dwaraka Tirumala mandal, two persons attacked on Gurajala Mangarao over a land dispute. Gurajala Mangarao is working in a vernacular daily in Vijayawada and came to Kodigudem on Sunday due to holiday.
His parents gave him 1.50 acres of land for cultivation. However, his relatives Gurajala Rajesh and Yohan had told him that that land also belongs to them. Following this on Sunday evening, Rajesh and Yohan attacked Mangarao in the field with knives. The seriously injured Mangarao escaped from the spot and reached the village.
