ACB to get own buildings in all districts soon: Director General
Srikakulam: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) will get its own buildings inall districts across the state by May this year, said ACB Director General (DG) RP Thakoor. Inspecting the new building works at Balaga inSrikakulam city on Monday, Thakoor made some suggestions to the engineers and contractors regarding rooms in the building.
Later, speaking to media, he said the building was constructed at an estimate of Rs1.05 crore. So far the ACB has own buildings in seven districts and in remaining six districts, building works would be completed by May thisyear,the DG elaborated.
Advanced equipment would beprovided for ACB to effectively check corruption at governmentoffices, he explained. The DG said that the government had approved to recruit350 new posts in ACB at different cadres from DSP to police constable.
After recruitment, man power will be increased in all districts andthey can discharge their duties effectively for collection of information on quick pace and can deal with court cases easily. SP Dr CM Trivikrama Varma, ACB DSP KRajendra Kumar and police officials accompanied the DG.
