House panel to probe delay in Kavali RoB works

Amaravati: The State Legislative Council on Tuesday decided to constitute a House Committee to find out the reasons for the slow progress of the RoB in Kavali town of Nellore district R and B Minister Ch Ayyannapatrudu said the construction cost of the Road-over-Bridge shot up and land acquisition expenditure also increased due to slow progress of the flyover works.

MLC Beeda Ravindra raised the issue over the slow progress of the construction works in the Council. Minister for Roads and Buildings Ch Ayyannapatrudu informed the council that there was no coordination and cooperation among the officials. 

He alleged that there is no proper response from the officials though instructions were given for the speedy construction of the RoB. Responding to it, Chairman of the Legislative Council Md Farooq said that he would suggest for constitution of a House Committee if the members agreed for it. 
The members responded positively and agreed to constitute a committee to study the reasons why the RoB work was delayed in Kavali town.
