Pawan Kalyan puts foot in the mouth again
Pawan Kalyan has once again put the foot in his mouth. In a recent interview to TV 18, Pawan said something that goes utterly against what he has been preaching all along. He said: “It doesn’t matter whether the state gets the tag of special status or not. Name or status is not important. The issue is that we need financial help from the Central Government.”
Pawan, who has been staunchly demanding special status, invited flak for diluting the stand. Naturally, he was trolled and there was mounting criticism on his come down. Realising the gaffe, Pawan’s Jana Sena immediately got into the act and said the reporter ‘misunderstood’ Pawan’s comments and misrepresented them. It said the Jana Sena is firmly committed to achieving special status.
Well! Politics are not films. In films, there are takes and re-takes. In politics, there is no second chance. Pawan must be learning this hard lesson.
